Hi I'm Susan Dettweiler...

I've been sewing for over 35 years, and these days I get to spend that experience doing what I love most, creating one-of-a-kind plush dachshunds by hand for Adopt-a-Dachshund. I'm artistic, detail-oriented, and a little bit of a perfectionist, which means every stitch gets my full attention before a design ever makes it to "adoption."

I've always loved dogs, and dachshunds have a special place in my heart. When I'm not at my sewing table, I teach basic sewing classes to young girls in my community, passing along a skill that's meant so much to me over the years.

I live in Warner Robins, Georgia, with my husband of 40 years. We raised two wonderful boys, now 26 and 22, and these days my "litters" are the plush kind, each one made with the same care I'd want for a real pup.
